THE BIG DAY!

  • The Garden Place at This Is The Place Heritage Park (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Alright, this is it! Apparently we can’t just invite all of our friends out to Utah just to ski with us, we actually need to do the damn thang. That being said, you better believe we’re gonna keep it short and sweet so we can get on to cocktail hour 😏. Children are not invited to any of the events on Saturday.

DETAILS

Ceremony: begins at 3pm on the back patio of venue

Cocktail hour, dinner dancing and after party to follow

Attire

Ski Lodge Chic - think something dressy that can be layered up easily (our ceremony will be held outside!)

Transportation

Everyone is responsible for getting themselves to the chapel on time, but we will be providing 2 buses to transport people from the reception venue to the after party bar. Then everyone will once again be responsible for getting themselves back to their accommodations safely, so let’s everybody practice the buddy system! Uber and Lyft are widely accessible in SLC.

ManiPedis and Skiing like Yetis - a.k.a. The Bride's Ski Day

Snowbird, or just simply 'The Bird' for short, is the undisputed titleholder for Most Extreme Terrain amongst Utah's ski resorts. And rightfully so, a quick glance at it's terrain map and you'll see that the Blue runs are few and far between... There are no Greens. Now, while this event is being dubbed 'The Bride's Ski Day', we want you to know that everyone is invited to join in on the turns. Plus, if I know my fiancé, you'll be finding the groom and his buddies all over the mountain getting into something stupid, even if it is the day before the wedding.

Sitting at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, along the Wasatch crest, Snowbird's terrain is as breathtaking as it is demanding (the upper tram station for example was used as the set for one of the modern Bond Films). That being said, for those who are interested in a less high-octane way to enjoy the scenery, join me after skiing by booking a treatment at The Cliff Lodge Spa. Located in the same complex as the tram base station, The Cliff Lodge offers a world class spa, complete with a rooftop heated pool that offers unencumbered views of the slopes.

Meet us at Snowbird Center around 9 am. The bride will be in the pool by 1 pm!

[Back] Bowls and [Ski] Poles - a.k.a. The Groom's Ski Day

'Pow Mow' as Powder Mountain is affectionately called by the locals, is our favorite ski hill here in Utah and Lauren and I can't wait to share it with you! Though this may be dubbed 'The Groom's Ski Day', know that all are invited to join for a day of shredding with both the bride and groom.

Along with incredible terrain, much of what makes PowMow our favorite local hill is the fact that they cap their daily ticket sales at 1500 people per day (meaning you get the place to yourself and it holds onto fresh snow for dayyyyys). That being said, make sure to book your ticket for 2/24/2022 well in advance to make sure you're one of the 1500! Plus, we'll have beers and brats going in the parking lot for lunch 😋

Meet us around 9 am at the Timberline Parking lot. Beers and Brats will start grilling around noon!

Kegs, Pigs, Games, and Libations

As a kickoff to the wedding weekend, all those coming into town for the ski days are invited over to the Happy Couple’s pets’ house for card games, drinking games, board games, lawn games, and just general merriment as we spit roast a whole hog in the backyard.
